Heineken’s at it again on Facebook. Their current campaign aims to get more fans in Brazil by following the “1 like = 1 incentive” formula. For every Brazilian user who likes the Heineken Facebook page, one balloon is blown up and put in an office. Update: Heineken has revealed the winning design In a new Facebook app from Heineken, users are challenged to design their own Heineken beer bottle to be produced in an exclusive 140th anniversary limited edition pack. The exact messaging from the brand is to “create a bottle design that symbolizes how people around the world will connect in the next 140 years.” Furthering this theme of “connection,” the design template is only one half of the bottle, and you must pair up with another user’s design to complete the packaging concept. Heineken’s latest Facebook app, the “BeerFriender,” capitalizes on people’s gift-giving tendencies during the holiday season. Essentially it’s a social commerce app designed to sell the BeerTender, a product that lets you serve Heineken on tap at home.
